The Association of Community Professionals (ACP) of Nebraska began in 1981 and continues to maintain an emphasis on training and information sharing for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We advocate, at the state level, on issues that affect the quality of services and support systems in Nebraska. Our primary focus is leading dynamic conferences presenting some of the best “thinkers and doers” in the field of disabilities.
Each year the Association of Community Professionals in Nebraska holds two conferences, one in-person and one virtual. Our conference goals are to educate, through group training, and connect area professionals, families, and those interested in learning and supporting Nebraskans with developmental disorders. As an attendee at our conference, you are a member of the ACP. All are invited to attend our conferences.
An important part of the Association for Community Professionals (ACP) conference is the recognition of exceptional performance by individuals and programs in Nebraska. It is not necessary that you be a member of ACP to nominate someone, nor do you have to be a member to be nominated for an award. It is very important that we honor excellence in our field. Let’s make a difference in the life of those who have a positive impact on the quality of life for people they serve.
